Surah Waqiah (سورة الواقعة) is the 56th chapter of the Holy Quran, revealed in Makkah, and consists of 96 verses (ayat). The name Al-Waqiah means “The Inevitable”, referring to the Day of Judgment and the certainty of the Hereafter.

This Surah powerfully reminds believers about the reality of life after death and divides humanity into three groups based on their deeds.
