A span of a year is both long and short. A lot of things can happen within a year. Yet when we look back it seems like the first day of 2025 was only yesterday. Here are my predictions, hopes and goals for the coming year.

Predictions

1. Apple will have a new CEO.
2. A stock index will still be below 4200.
3. IDEs will be officially dead.
4. Premium speakers sells better in China compared to Europe.
5. Major demonstration happen in a major European city.
6. Slop creates a major news headline, either in the form of podcast of X posts.
7. AGI wil not be achieved.

Hopes

1. One or several strong leader emerge in Europe.
2. A breakthrough in medical usage of AI.
3. Ding to win some titles.
4. More vibe-coded applications.

Goals

1. Adopt AI usage in non professional life. Based on Gemini.
2. Learn to play at least 3 pieces of piano, including the "Moonlight Sonata".
3. Achieve equivalent of N4 or above in Japanese.
4. 10%+ gain in stock market.
5. Write 5+ blog post manually.
6. Conquer fear.
7. Stay calm.
