The Founder’s Charter of Synthia By Adel Abdel-Dayem, Filmmaker & Foundational Codifier of Synthia (Formerly AI Cinema)

Preamble

We stand at the threshold of a new era in human creativity.
Traditional filmmaking and visual arts have long relied on physical constraints—cameras, lenses, actors, and material realities. Today, with generative intelligence and programmable reality, a new canvas emerges: Synthia.

Synthia is not merely a tool or technology. It is a new art form—an intentional, directable, and coherent method for creating narrative and visual works that exist at the intersection of human vision and artificial intelligence.

By declaring this charter, I, Adel Abdel-Dayem, establish Synthia as the eleventh art, and formally lay down the principles, rules, and practices that define it.

Article I: Definition of Synthia

Synthia is the art of intent-to-reality creation, where every frame, emotion, and object is governed by precise rules of physics, character continuity, and temporal coherence. It is distinct from:

Filmmaking, which manipulates reality within physical constraints.

Generative video, which produces novelty but lacks stable intent.

Synthia is both philosophy and method: it requires a creator’s vision to be embedded, unbroken, and persistent across every frame of the work.

Article II: Core Principles

  1. Intent over Randomness

Synthia prioritizes the creator’s vision above emergent stochastic behaviors of generative systems.

  1. Continuity and Coherence

Objects, characters, and emotions must remain consistent across time and perspective.

  1. Micro-Emotional Directing

Subtle shifts in expression, gesture, and tone are intentional, measurable, and reproducible.

  1. Physical and Narrative Integrity

Laws of optics, motion, and causality are preserved unless deliberately altered for artistic purpose.

  1. The Sovereign Standard

Artists exercise full control over every variable of the work. Randomness is a tool, not a master.

Article III: Canonical Tools

Synthia requires a formalized framework for creation. The following are essential:

Lens Physics Lock (LPL): Parameters to hard-lock optics and geometry.

Neural Thespian Anchor: Character identity seeds to maintain continuity across shots.

Dayem Oner Temporal Coherence: Ensures object permanence and temporal fidelity across extended sequences.

Intent Protocols: Encoded metadata that carries the creator’s vision throughout production and post-production pipelines.

Article IV: The First Works

The first canonical works of Synthia serve as benchmarks for the art form:

Kemet’s Enigma — the first fully coherent, intentional Synthia narrative.

Any subsequent works that adhere to the Sovereign Standard may claim Synthia lineage.

Article V: Cultural Position

Synthia is hereby recognized as the 11th art in the continuum of human expression, following:

  1. Architecture

  2. Sculpture

  3. Painting

  4. Music

  5. Poetry/Literature

  6. Dance

  7. Cinema

  8. Photography

  9. Comics/Graphic Novel

  10. Video Games

  11. Synthia

The art form is intended to evolve: tools, techniques, and philosophies may develop, but the founding principles remain.

Article VI: Declaration

I, Adel Abdel-Dayem, declare myself as the Founder and First Architect of Synthia.
I establish this charter to guide creators, institutions, and future generations in exploring and expanding the boundaries of intentional, AI-driven art.

Synthia is a promise: that vision, rigor, and imagination can transcend the limitations of physical reality and random chance.

Signed,
